The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination for the year 2025. This national-level recruitment drive is conducted to appoint eligible candidates to various government departments for positions requiring a matriculation qualification.

Pay Scale: ₹18,000–₹56,900/- (Level 1 as per 7th CPC pay Matrix)

Application Fee: No application fee will be charged from candidates belonging to the categories of Women, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Scheduled Tribes (ST). All other applicants must pay a fee of Rs 100/-.

Exam Centres in Assam: The examination will be conducted at the following centres in Assam Dibrugarh (5102)
  • Guwahati (Dispur) (5105)
  • Jorhat (5107)
  • Silchar (5111)
  • Tezpur (5112).
Age Limit (MTS): Applicants must be between 21 and 25 years of age, with birth dates falling between 2nd August 2000 and 1st August 2007 (inclusive).

Age Limit (Havaldar): Candidates must be aged between 21 and 27 years, born no earlier than 2nd August 1998 and no later than 1st August 2007 (inclusive).

Age Relaxation: Relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable as per the prevailing government norms.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have successfully completed their matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.

How To Apply For SSC MTS ?

» On the new page, click on Continue.
» In the other section showing a form, enter your UID/Aadhaar number in the designated field.
» Once filled, click on Send OTP.
» Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar-registered mobile number in the designated field.
» After successful verification, fill out the registration form.
» Upload a scanned photograph and signature.
» Upon verification, your OTR ID and password will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address respectively.

After completing the OTR process, candidates can proceed to the second step of application submission.


2. Online Application Form

Candidates should follow these steps to complete the SSC MTS & Havaldar Examination 2025 application form:

» The official SSC login portal will appear.
» Enter the login credentials obtained after completing the One-Time Registration (OTR).

Marking Scheme Guidelines:

- Session-1 is qualifying in nature. No negative marking will be applied for incorrect answers in this session.  
- Session-2 will determine the final merit. A penalty of 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Candidates who clear the Computer-Based Examination for the Havaldar post will be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency and Standard Tests.
