PNB Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has issued an official notification to recruit 5,138 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2025–26. Interested and eligible candidates should apply online through the BFSI SSC portal between 8 February and 24 February 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for PNB Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Nationality: Indian citizen

Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised institute. Final result must be declared on or before 31 December 2025. NATS candidates should have passed graduation within four years prior to 1 January 2026.

Language Requirement: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the local language of the applied State/UT.

Restrictions: Applicants who have already completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship, those with one year or more post-graduate work/training experience, or candidates previously terminated for misconduct are not eligible.

How to Apply for PNB Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Step 1: Go to the official BFSI SSC website at www.bfsissc.com or visit PNB’s recruitment portal at https://www.pnb.bank.in/Recruitments.aspx. (The same links are also available in the Important Links section below.)

Step 2: From the menu, choose Employment Opportunities > Apprenticeship Opportunities > Punjab National Bank and select PNB Apprenticeship Program 2025-26.

Step 3: Open the Apprenticeship Application Form and register for the examination.

Step 4: Fill in all personal and educational details accurately.

Step 5: Upload required documents — Aadhaar (front & back), passport photo, graduation mark sheet/degree, caste/PwBD certificate (if applicable) and PAN. For image sizing use this image resizer.

Step 6: Enter NAPS Apprentice Code and/or NATS Enrolment Number if available.

Step 7: Pay the application fee online as per your category.

Step 8: Submit the form before 24 February 2026.

Step 9: After submission, register as a Candidate on the NAPS Portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) using the same email and mobile number.

Step 10: Graduates who passed on or after 1 January 2022 must also register on the NATS Portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) as a Student using Aadhaar.

Step 11: Update your NAPS/NATS details at https://beep.bfsissc.com if required.

Step 12: Keep your registered email ID and mobile number active for all notifications and call letters.

Note: Use a valid email ID and mobile number until results are declared. Do not send hard copies of applications or documents to the bank. Incomplete online applications will be treated as invalid.

Selection Process for PNB Apprentice Recruitment 2026

The process for selecting candidates for PNB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is divided into four main stages.

Computer-Based Test

Computer-based objective exam with four sections: General/Financial Awareness (25), General English (25), Quantitative & Reasoning (25) and Computer Knowledge (25). Duration: 60 minutes, total 100 marks. Conducted in English and Hindi. Overall qualifying marks apply; SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates receive 5% aggregate relaxation.

Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates must attend document verification at an allocated centre in the applied State/UT. Originals and self-attested copies of all documents must be produced. Travel is at candidate’s cost.

Local Language Test

State-specific trainees must prove local language proficiency. Candidates with 10th/12th mark sheet showing the language are exempt; others must take a language test during verification. Failure will disqualify the candidate.

Medical Examination

Final appointment is subject to medical fitness as per bank standards. Candidates must obtain a medical certificate from a registered physician (MBBS) at their own expense.
