Eligibility Requirements
Age Limit
As per the official notification, candidates applying for the various Grade-III and Grade-IV posts under the PWD (R&B), Hills, Assam Recruitment 2025 must meet the following age requirements:
Minimum Age: The applicant must have attained a minimum age of 18 years as of 1st January 2025.
Maximum Age: The upper age limit for applicants is 38 years as of 1st January 2025.
Age Relaxations
Relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable to candidates belonging to reserved categories, in accordance with existing Government of Assam guidelines. The relaxation benefits are generally as follows:
OBC/MOBC: Up to 3 years (i.e., maximum age of 41 years)
SC/ST (P)/ST (H): Up to 5 years (i.e., maximum age of 43 years)
Persons with Disabilities (PwD): As per the latest rules applicable in the state
Note: Age will be calculated strictly based on the candidate’s date of birth as mentioned in their official birth certificate or HSLC admit card.
Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the PWD (R&B), Hills, Assam Recruitment 2025 must fulfill the following educational qualifications as per the post they are applying for:
1. Lower Division Assistant (Junior Assistant)
- Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce from a Government-recognized University or institution.
- In addition to the degree, candidates must hold a Computer Diploma of at least 12 months duration from a recognized institute.
- The applicant should have a typing speed of at least 50 words per minute (wpm) and be proficient in basic computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, and related software tools.
2. Section Assistant (S.A.)
- Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary (H.S.) examination, i.e., 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board or council.
- They must also possess a Computer Diploma of 12 months duration with a typing speed of 50 words per minute (wpm).
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.) is required for this post.
3. Peon / Chowkidar / Roller Handyman
- Candidates applying for these posts must have passed at least Class 8 (VIII) from a Government-recognized educational institution.
- No higher educational qualification or computer knowledge is required for these Grade-IV positions.
Note: Candidates must provide relevant certificates and mark sheets as proof of their educational qualifications during the application process and document verification stage. Incomplete or unverified qualifications will lead to disqualification.
Nationality
- Applicants who wish to apply for the PWD (R&B), Hills, Assam Recruitment 2025 must strictly fulfill the following nationality criteria:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India, as defined under relevant provisions of the Indian Constitution.
