Selection Process

The recruitment process for SBI Probationary Officer (PO) 2025 is divided into three rigorous stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and the final assessment phase, which includes a Psychometric Test, Group Exercise, and Personal Interview. This multi-tiered evaluation is designed to holistically assess candidates on their aptitude, communication, analytical ability, and personality traits.

Phase 1: Preliminary Examination

This stage consists of an objective test of 100 marks, conducted online. It includes three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The duration of the exam is 1 hour, with 20 minutes allotted for each section.

Phase 2: Main Examination

The Main Exam is both objective and descriptive in nature. The objective test carries 200 marks and includes sections like Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, and English Language. The descriptive test (50 marks) evaluates English language skills through letter and essay writing.

Phase 3: Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Interview

Candidates who qualify in the Main Exam are called for a Psychometric Test followed by Group Exercises and a Personal Interview. These are conducted to evaluate behavioral traits and leadership qualities, essential for the role of a Probationary Officer.
