SIRISH Scholarship Schemes


1. Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme

Students belonging to the Tea Tribes and Adivasi communities who are currently enrolled in Class IX or X are eligible to apply for the Pre-Matric Scholarship via the official SIRISH portal. The scheme offers a financial grant of Rs 3,000/- per student to help cover their school-related expenses and motivate continued education.

2. Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme

This scholarship supports students from the same communities who are pursuing studies in Class XI, XII, or enrolled in undergraduate degree courses. Applicants can apply online through the SIRISH portal and, if eligible, will receive ₹5,000/- (for Class XI & XII) or Rs 7,000/- (for degree-level students) to assist with academic costs.

3. Simon Sing Horo Special Post-Matric Scholarship

Students who have recently passed their HSLC or HSSLC examinations under the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) or any other recognized board in Assam are eligible for this one-time special grant. Offered through the SIRISH portal, this scholarship awards a lump sum of Rs 10,000/- to support students in continuing their higher education journey.

4. Financial Assistance for Higher Studies

This scheme caters to students from the Tea Tribes and Adivasi communities who are pursuing professional or higher education in fields such as Medicine (MBBS), Engineering, Law, MBA, Research, or Administration, either within Assam, other states, or even abroad. Depending on the nature of the course, eligible candidates will receive between Rs 25,000/- to Rs 35,000/- to help with academic expenses.


5. Financial Aid for ANM/GNM/Technical Courses

Students undertaking training in ANM, GNM, Para-Medical, or other technical/professional diploma or degree programs (minimum duration of one year), in either government or recognized private institutes, can apply under this scheme. Financial support ranging from Rs 4,000/- to Rs 20,000/- will be granted, based on the type of course.

6. Competitive Exam Coaching Support

This initiative provides free coaching to prepare students for competitive exams, including Civil Services, Engineering, Medical, SSC (Graduate Level), and Banking (PO level). The scheme aims to empower deserving candidates with guidance and resources to successfully compete in these examinations. Applications are to be submitted online through the SIRISH portal.

7. Financial Grants for Women SHGs

Under this program, Self Help Groups (SHGs) led by women from the Tea Tribes and Adivasi communities can receive financial aid to initiate or scale up income-generating activities. Successful applicants will be awarded Rs 25,000/- directly through bank transfer, enhancing their economic independence and family livelihood.

8. Swahid Dayal Das Panika Swaniyojan Achoni (Self-Employment Scheme)

This self-employment scheme provides financial support to entrepreneurial youth from the community, encouraging them to start or grow their own businesses. Beneficiaries selected under this scheme will receive Rs 25,000/- as financial assistance. Applications are processed through the SIRISH portal.
