Online Employment Exchange Registration
Employment Exchange Registration is mandatory for candidates targeting Assam Government jobs. Those applying for recruitments like Assam Direct Recruitment, Police, APSC, or TET must enroll through Assam's employment exchanges.
Since 2021, this process has been fully online via the official Sewa Setu portal, eliminating the need for office visits and making registration quick and accessible from anywhere.
Employment Exchange Registration Details
Department: Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Assam
Eligibility: Indian citizens aged 14+ and permanent Assam residents can register at any state Employment Exchange.
District Rule: Registration allowed at only one Employment Exchange within the candidate's permanent resident district jurisdiction.
Fees: Rs. 30/- via PFC/CSC centers; Rs. 10/- for direct online self-submission.
Required Documents for Registration
Recent Passport Photo: Upload a recent passport size photograph in JPEG/JPG format (PDF not accepted for photos).
Recent Signature: Upload your recent signature image in JPEG/JPG format (PDF not accepted for signatures).
Email ID: A valid email address is mandatory for Sewa Setu citizen portal registration, OTP verification, application status updates, and official Employment Exchange communications.
Mobile Number: A valid and active mobile number is essential for completing the registration process.
Educational Documents: Candidates must upload documents based on their highest qualification level.

PWD Certificate: Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates must provide a disability certificate issued by competent authority.
Miscellaneous: Additional category-specific documents may be required as applicable.
Note: All documents must be uploaded in PDF format only (except signature & recent passport photo in JPEG/JPG format). Maximum PDF size must not exceed 1024KB (1MB).
