UPSC NDA Notification 2026

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification inviting online applications for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I), 2026. As per the official notice, the online application process begins on 10 December 2025 and will remain open until 30 December 2025.

The commission has also announced that the NDA & NA Examination (I), 2026 is scheduled to be held on 12 April 2026 across various examination centres. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official UPSC website within the specified dates.

Age Limit: Candidates must be born not earlier than 1 July 2007 and not later than 1 July 2010 to be eligible for the examination.

Application Fee: Applicants are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100 (Rupees One Hundred only). However, SC/ST candidates and sons of JCOs, NCOs, or ORs are exempted from paying the fee. The fee can be paid in cash at any State Bank of India (SBI) branch, through net banking of any bank, or using Visa, MasterCard, RuPay credit/debit cards, or UPI payment.

Educational Qualification

For admission to the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy, candidates must have passed the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of school education or an equivalent examination conducted by a recognized State Education Board or a University.

Applicants for the Air Force and Naval Wings of the National Defence Academy, as well as the Indian Naval Academy, should have completed the 12th class or an equivalent examination under the 10+2 system with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board or university.

Candidates who are currently appearing in the Class XII examination under the 10+2 pattern or an equivalent system are also eligible to apply for the NDA examination.
