Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens to be eligible for Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2026 under the AGNIPATH Scheme.
Educational Qualification
◾For Science Subjects: Candidates applying under the Other than Science Subjects category must fulfill at least one of the following eligibility conditions:
Condition 1. Passed 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from a recognized Board (Central/State/UT), securing at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Condition 2. Completed a Three-Year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or Information Technology) from a recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the Diploma or in 10+2/Matriculation if English was not a subject in the Diploma.
Condition 3. Passed a Two-Year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects (Physics and Mathematics) from a recognized Board, with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the Vocational Course or in 10+2/Matriculation if English was not a subject in the Vocational Course.
◾For Other Than Science Subjects: Candidates applying under the Other than Science Subjects category must fulfill at least one of the following eligibility conditions:
Condition 1. Passed 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent examination in any stream or subjects from a recognized Board (Central/State/UT) with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Condition 2. Completed a Two-Year Vocational Course from a recognized Board (Central/State/UT) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the Vocational Course. If English was not a subject in the Vocational Course, candidates must have scored 50% marks in English in 10+2 or Matriculation.
How to Apply for Indian Air Force Recruitment ?

Selection Process
The selection process for Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu under the Agnipath Scheme is conducted in multiple phases to assess a candidate’s knowledge, physical fitness, and overall suitability for military service. The process includes an Online Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Medical Examination, and Document Verification.
Phase I: Online Test
All eligible candidates who successfully register online will be called to appear for an Online Test. Provisional admit cards will be sent to the registered email IDs of the candidates 48 to 72 hours before the exam. Candidates must download and take a color printout of the admit card and bring it to the exam center along with a blue or black pen and their original AADHAAR card. Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, and Meghalaya may use an alternate valid ID proof.
Marking Scheme:
- One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
- 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- No marks will be awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.

Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Candidates who qualify in the online test will be shortlisted for the Physical Fitness Test. The list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the official CASB portal. The PFT is aimed at testing the physical capability and endurance of the candidates.
◾PFT Requirements:
- 1.6 km run to be completed within 6 minutes 30 seconds
- 10 push-ups
- 10 sit-ups
- 20 squats
Candidates must bring their own sports shoes and shorts or track pants for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT). Suitable sportswear is necessary for smooth participation, as no gear will be provided at the test venue.
Further Selection Process
After clearing the PFT, candidates will undergo Document Verification and a detailed Medical Examination at designated Air Force Medical Centers. The final merit list will be prepared based on performance in all stages.
