Pay Scale: Pay Band-2, ₹14,000 – ₹70,000, plus Grade Pay and other applicable allowances as per government norms.

Eligibility Requirements

Assistant Teacher for Upper Primary School

Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or equivalent).

Graduation from a UGC-recognized university.

Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent.

Must have qualified Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary Schools.

Science Teacher for Upper Primary School

Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or equivalent).

B.Sc. from a UGC-recognized university.

Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent.

Must have qualified Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary Schools.

Hindi Teacher for Upper Primary School

Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or equivalent).

Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects from a UGC-recognized university.

Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent.

Must have qualified Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary Schools.

Other Eligiblity Requiremens

Age Limit: A candidate must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 40 years for the unreserved category, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/MOBC, 45 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H), and 50 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) as of January 1, 2025.

ATET/CTET Qualification: Candidates who have passed ATET/CTET for Lower Primary (LP) or Upper Primary (UP) are eligible to apply.

TET Eligibility: Candidates who have passed ATET/CTET for Upper Primary School can apply. The Language I or Language II of both ATET and CTET must match the medium of instruction of the school where the candidate intends to apply.

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Resident: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam, and proof of residency may be required during the application process.

In case of Residence Certificate candidates are required to have a Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC)

Small Family Norms: Candidates with more than two living children on or after 1st January 2021, from a single or multiple partners, will not be eligible for appointment as per the Government's Small Family Norms policy.
