SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2025

To apply for SSC CPO 2025, candidates must fulfill the required nationality, educational qualifications, age criteria, and other conditions as prescribed by the Staff Selection Commission.

Nationality

Applicants must be either an Indian citizen, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification. Those appearing in their final year examination are also eligible to apply, but they must acquire the essential qualification on or before the cut-off date, i.e., 16 October 2025.

Other Requirements

For the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police (for male candidates only), it is mandatory to have a valid Driving Licence for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date scheduled for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT).

Age Limit

SSC CPO Selection Process 2025

The recruitment for Sub-Inspector posts involves a multi-stage selection procedure. Initially, candidates must appear for the Computer Based Examination (Paper-I). Those who qualify will undergo the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET).

Candidates who successfully clear the PST and PET will then take the Computer Based Examination (Paper-II), followed by a Detailed Medical Examination (DME). The final selection is determined based on the combined performance in Paper-I and Paper-II, provided all other stages are successfully completed.

Paper-I: Computer Based Examination

Paper-I evaluates candidates across four key sections. Each section contains 50 questions, with a maximum of 50 marks per section. The total duration of the examination is 2 hours. A negative marking of 0.25 marks is applied for each incorrect answer.
