Merit-Based Scholarships for OBC and SC Students
The Directorate of Welfare of SC & BC, Assam has published an official notification calling for applications under multiple Financial Incentive and Assistance programs. These initiatives are specifically designed to support students from the SC and OBC communities for the Academic Year 2025-26.

Eligibility Requirements
Common Criteria for All Schemes: Applicants must have an active DigiLocker account to complete the application process. Additionally, the annual income of their parents or guardians should not exceed ₹5,00,000.
UPSC Mains Financial Assistance (SC & OBC): Candidates should have successfully cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Preliminary Examination conducted in 2025.
Meritorious Student Incentives (SC & OBC): Applicants are required to have achieved at least 80% marks in the HSSLC examination held in 2025.
How to Check Whether You Are Eligible

Once on the portal, follow the instructions on the first page for eligibility checking. Select your college or institute, provide the required details, complete the CAPTCHA, and submit the form.
