Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Applicants should be between 18 and 40 years of age as of 1st January 2025. The upper age limit is relaxable by 2 years for Ex-Servicemen, 3 years for OBC/MOBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for Persons with Disability (PwD).

Nationality & Domicile: Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution and permanent residents of Assam. A valid Permanent Resident Certificate or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate must be submitted as proof of domicile.

Educational Qualification: Minimum qualification is Class VIII pass, and the maximum is HSSLC (Class 12) or equivalent. Candidates with higher qualifications than the maximum are ineligible. A self-declaration as per ‘Annexure-I’ is required.

Upload scanned copies of all required documents in PDF format (max 5 MB) ensuring clarity. A recent photograph (50 KB – 200 KB, not older than 3 months) and signature (50 KB – 200 KB) must also be uploaded. Use the preview option to verify details before submission, as edits are not allowed afterward.

APSC Grade IV Selection Process

The selection for APSC Grade IV posts will be conducted in two phases:

Phase-I (Screening Test): Candidates will appear for an OMR-based Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) test to shortlist applicants. The test carries 100 marks and lasts 2 hours. Questions will be set at Class VI-VIII level.
